Okay, but who are you?

Glad you asked! I am Pommatre (but my christian name is, of course, emma) and I go by she/her. I am a groom by trade and equine artist on the side. Some broad categories I'm in to: horses, art, reading, and environmental conservation.

Okay, a horsegirl. Speak on that.

I would love to! I have half a degree in equine business management, and plan to finish up in the coming semesters. I primarily ride English- field hunter/dressage and a lot of hacking out. I have a fantastic OTTB currently who is a real sweatheart. If you would like to know more about my past and current horse(s), check out the “horse” tab (under construction) on the navigation bar!

Ok. Art? Doesn’t everybody like art?

I hope so! But to be more specific, I make the art, and even more specifically, equine art. I started HARPG’s on deviantArt sometime around 2014; regular boring horses at first, but then I moved to Nordanners, briefly. I’ve since been involved in Equus Ballator (rip), Boucle Unicorn (I have a few currently– I like how crazy the designs can get), and Dungeon Coursers (what I’m most active in currently). Cool! What about reading? I really wasn’t sure if you were literate or not.

I am indeed literate. A very proud Hooked On Phonics kid. I was an avid reader growing up, but as an adult I’ve fallen out of the habit. I hope to have a page set up soon to track and review my reads. I also read A LOT of interactive fiction, so I’ll of course include that on my read list.

Very Interesting. Now tell me what this "environmental conservation” is all about.

Love to! I live in the Tidewater region on the east coast of the United States. I am very passionate about preserving our delicate water systems and maintaining clean, healthy green spaces. I hope to soon have a page set up detailing the environs unique to the region, regional flora and fauna, and highlight conservation efforts state-wide. The state, of course, being North Carolina.
